Zooomr Mark III launching shortly

Zooomr Mark IIIZooomr Mark III is launching sometime late this evening or early tomorrow morning. Zooomr is a photo sharing site similar to Flickr but they are trying to re-define the Stock Photography market. You can choose to sell your Photos and sell them between $1-1000 with 90% of the revenues going to you. This should really start the pricing wars in the stock photography market. I’ve never sold any photo’s but i’m almost certain that nobody is giving 90% to the photographer. I really hope this works out for Kristopher Tate & Thomas Hawk as they both deserve some success after putting their blood and sweat into Zooomr.

I was quoted in a BBC article about Flickr

Some of you probably already know that Flickr is forcing us old skool Flickr users to merge our Flickr accounts to a Yahoo account, and we are pissed.  Basically Yahoo/Flickr is screwing the people that made them popular in the first place.  I was quoted in a BBC article about this very issue.  I’ve never been quoted in such a widely read publication before, it’s a little bit exciting.  I guess I know have my 15 minutes of fame.  BTW, here is my quote:

Why are the Old Skool members being treated like second class citizens on this issue? We are the community that made Yahoo buy you guys.

The best Newbie Photoshop Site

Adobe PhotoshopPhotoshop can be completely overwhelming to the uninitiated. Want to get your feet wet in Photoshop?  Photoshoplabs has some of the best Photoshop tutorials i’ve ever seen that are geared for newbies.  Be sure to check out their Tools category as it goes over and explains how to use photoshops tools in a very comprehensible way.By reading just a couple of their tutorials, I feel like i’m much more comfortable with Photoshop than I ever have been.  Even though i’ve been using photoshop for years doing very simple tasks like resizing photos and other small touch ups, i am now on my my way to mastering some of the more advanced tools by reading just a couple of blog posts.

Here is the post that showed me the light.
