I have officially dumped windows for 90% of my work and have switched to Ubuntu Linux for my desktop full time. I am still keeping a windows partition on my laptop for work purposes. I have been a long time linux user and have been using linux for 9 years now in my personal and professional life, but I have always had to keep windows around for certain tasks. If you haven’t used ubuntu yet, i recommend you heading over to Ubuntu’s Website and download some cd images and install and try it out.
Sorry about the sparse postings as of late. Sometimes life throws you curveballs. The curveballs thrown at me lately have thrown particularly hard. Some curveballs are un-hittable and others are. The curveballs that are hittable are up to us to do with, and hopefully we can hit those out of the park, i’d settle for a double and bat it in. If you can’t get a hit, try bunting, you may be able to turn around your slump. Think about it.
Wii is destroying the competition in online searches. Here is a graph the Google Trends chart of the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360. It looks like the popularity of the Wii is kicking the other consoles asses. Hopefully this trend will continue for Nintendo as they have a great product on their hand.

With the proliferation of video iPods, everyone is wondering, what’s the easiest way for me to get my videos on to it. There are numerous commercial products out there that will gladly take your hard earned money, and probably not give you a quality product in return. Now here is a great program and ask nothing of you in return, “Any Video Converter”. This is definately the easiest video conversion app I have ever used.
What I love about freeware and opensource developers is that they code for the love of coding and try to scratch and itch that they have. And we reap the benefits when these people scratch. So go donate some money to your favorite freeware and opensource projects, don’t you think they deserve it?

I got my wii, and love it… The motion controller is all it’s cracked up to be and much more. I love this thing and i’m not a big gamer. I will write a post later about my Wii experience. I have to get back to Wii sports. I have a mild addiction and there may need to be an intervention.

Did you accomplish your goals today? Did you have any goals? If not, I propose you do an experiment. Write down a list of goals and try to accomplish at least one of those goals a day. See what the pay off is and report it too me. If I have any takers this could make for an interesting research project. My goal for tommorow is to create a set of goals for my new startup, and now I already have 1 goal on the list 🙂

I was sitting here thinking about what I use on a daily basis that allows me to get my work done. I’m constantly trying out new tools to see if I can incorporate them into my daily life to try and streamline my work flow. Some of these tools workout, but most just get forgotten about never to be thought of again.
