Sony, Wii have a problem…

I was just at Best Buy a little bit ago and they had released a windfall of 60gb PS3’s this evening.  I could have just walked up and bought as many as I wanted.  There were no lines, no mad rush, no fighting.  I feel sorry for all those people that paid upwards to as much as $3,000 on ebay just a few short weeks ago.  There were a few curious patrons buying the PS3, but you’d think with all the hoopla over the launch there would be a lot more people scrambling for this.  If the ebay prices hadn’t fallen out, i would have bought one and resold it on ebay, but at this time there is no chance of making any money off suckers, because all the suckers have already been taken for a ride and everyone else has realized the PS3 is not all that and a bag of chips.

With all that said, there wasn’t a single Wii or Wii accesory available much to my dismay, i’m still looking to pick up an extra nun-chuck.  I was able to score my component cables which are still hard to come by.  The wii has been such a huge huge hit this season, even my mom and dad want one.  They loved playing mine, and told me if I saw one to snag it for them.  The Wii is truly a revolution in gaming.

Fast Track Trailer

Some of you may already know that i’m a huge Scrubs and Zach Braff fan. The trailer for his new movie “Fast Track” is now online. The movie also stars Jason Bateman and Amanda Peet. Enjoy!

Windows is gone

I have officially dumped windows for 90% of my work and have switched to Ubuntu Linux for my desktop full time. I am still keeping a windows partition on my laptop for work purposes. I have been a long time linux user and have been using linux for 9 years now in my personal and professional life, but I have always had to keep windows around for certain tasks. If you haven’t used ubuntu yet, i recommend you heading over to Ubuntu’s Website and download some cd images and install and try it out.

Sometimes life throws you curveballs

Sorry about the sparse postings as of late.  Sometimes life throws you curveballs.  The curveballs thrown at me lately have thrown particularly hard.  Some curveballs are un-hittable and others are. The curveballs that are hittable are up to us to do with, and hopefully we can hit those out of the park, i’d settle for a double and bat it in.  If you can’t get a hit, try bunting, you may be able to turn around your slump.  Think about it.

Wii is destroying the competition: Wii vs. PS3 vs. Xbox 360

Wii is destroying the competition in online searches. Here is a graph the Google Trends chart of the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360. It looks like the popularity of the Wii is kicking the other consoles asses. Hopefully this trend will continue for Nintendo as they have a great product on their hand.
